Fired Refractory Shapes and Crucibles

Kitmas company presents in Ukraine the products of the market leader in the development and production of refractory molds and crucibles - Morgan Thermal Ceramics. Morgan Thermal Ceramics produces refractory crucibles, junction boxes, pipes, nozzles and molds for various critical tasks in vacuum induction melting and other applications with temperatures above 1649 ° C (3000 ° F). Products are marketed under the brands Cerox®, Morsil® and Valcor®.

These products are manufactured using various refractory materials and manufacturing processes. Compositions with a high content of alumina, silicon carbide, nitride bonded by silicon carbide and fused silica, allow developing the optimal solution to ensure the reliability and durability of equipment, even in the most difficult conditions.

The production process of thixotropic casting makes it possible to produce crucibles and molds in accordance with the exact requirements of the customer. Thixotropic casting uses a dispersant that allows the mixture to flow through vibration, with little use of water. This production technology, combined with precisely controlled firing and 100% product verification, provides high-quality components suitable for the most severe conditions at high temperatures.

Morsil nitride-based silicon carbide refractory molds have high thermal conductivity and excellent resistance to thermal shock and oxidation. They also have higher heat resistance than oxide-bonded silicon carbide refractories. Oxidation resistance makes them suitable for use in contact areas with non-ferrous metals

KEY FEATURES OF THE ASSORTMENT OF BURNED FIREUPORIES:

- High thermal conductivity and fire resistance, low thermal expansion
- High abrasion / erosion resistance due to alpha silicon carbide crystals
- A wide selection of bonding options ensures that the properties can be matched to the needs of the application, such as high operating temperatures, resistance to corrosion or thermal shock, strength
- Low gas permeability
- Tight tolerance

Refractory crucibles, junction boxes, pipes, nozzles and profiles are widely used in vacuum induction melting of superalloys, in the processing of cast iron, steel and aluminum.

PRODUCTS SUCH AS CEROX AND MORSIL ARE USUALLY USED IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

- Crucibles, filling machines, etc.
- Furnace spouts, junction boxes, worktops and metamics - cermet composite thermocouple sheaths
- Muffles, buckets, sagars, pressurized muffles of the quenching furnace
- Furniture for stoves
- Consumable glass contact refractories
