Ceramic Fiber High Temperature Refractory Paper
Kitmas offers a wide range of high-quality refractory papers for thermal insulation manufactured by Morgan Advanced Materials. Paper products are made using high-purity fibers and optimal binder content, which burns during operation without the formation of impurities.
Heat-resistant paper based on ceramic fibers is an alternative to obsolete materials based on basalt fibers, asbestos, etc., and in all thermophysical and operational properties is an order of magnitude higher. Which, combined with the competitive price of insulating paper, makes the material indispensable for solving many technical problems.
HIGH TEMPERATURE INSULATING FIBER PAPER
Our papers are the preferred choice over fiberglass, textile or metal. In addition, our offer includes several AES and RCF expandable papers, which are ideal for gaskets or seals. They can offer expansion characteristics of up to 400%.
The full range of paper products includes three types of fiber:
- Alkaline earth silicate fiber (AES) backing made from our unique Superwool ® Low Biostability Fiber
- Refractory ceramic fibers (OKF), also known as aluminosilicate (RCF) from Kaowool ® bulk fiber
- Polycrystalline fiber (PCW) paper made from Alphawool ® and Denka ® fibers
AES (SUPERWOOL)
Superwool paper is resistant to chemicals and does not wet molten aluminum. It is the only fiber with low bio-resistance that has a classification temperature of 1300 ° C (2372 ° F).
RCF
Kaowool paper provides good tear resistance, high flexibility and resistance to thermal shock. They also have very low thermal conductivity and low thermal mass. These papers are classified up to 1649 ° C (3000 ° F)
PCW
PCW fibers are ideal for high temperatures and chemically aggressive applications. These fibers are produced using sol-gel technology using processes specifically designed for the production of fibers of certain sizes.
Papers made from bulk Alphawool and Denka fibers are more resistant to acids and alkalis than regular aluminosilicate fibers and have exceptionally good thermal insulation properties. They are classified up to 1600 ° C (2912 ° F).
