High Temperature Insulating Textiles

Kitmas offers a large selection of textile refractory products based on ceramic fiber manufactured by Thermal Ceramics. These are products such as yarn, fabrics and ropes. In the process of manufacturing heat-resistant fabric (refractory fabric), only high-quality raw materials and modern equipment are used, due to which they receive a product capable of effectively solving the tasks during installation or repair work on the lining and high-temperature insulation of industrial equipment.

Properties of refractory textiles based on ceramic fiber: high strength heat-resistant fabrics, low thermal conductivity, accurate dimensions, long service life, slightly susceptible to erosion, flame, acids and oils, etc.

The advantages possessed by refractory products (refractory textiles) make it possible to most effectively apply them in the production of furnaces, boilers, pipes, cables, as fire protection systems, etc.

Thanks to innovative characteristics combined with an affordable price, ceramic fiber-based refractory textiles (refractory fabric, refractory cord, etc.) are an excellent alternative to obsolete asbestos-containing materials and materials based on basalt fiber.

Our textiles are made using refractory insulation fibers and organic or inorganic binders to create yarn. This yarn can then be woven into items such as fabric, rope, conduit, twisted rope, webbing, and staircases.

The range includes two grades of fiber:
- Based on alkaline earth silicate fiber (AES) with low bio-resistance Superwool ®
- Refractory ceramic fibers (RCF), also known as aluminosilicate (ASW), bulk fiber made from Kaowool® fibers

AES (Superwool)

Superwool refractory textiles are particularly resistant to chemicals and can be used with molten aluminum. Superwool is the only fiber with low bio-resistance and has a classification temperature of 1300 ° C (2372 ° F).

RCF

The Kao-Tex ™ and Kaowool product families offer excellent tensile strength and maximum temperature characteristics from 538 ° C (1000 ° F) to 1371 ° C (2500 ° F) depending on the additional materials used in the production and the shape of the finished product.

All our textiles are highly resistant to heat shock and abrasion and do not contain asbestos. They are used in the production, chemical processing, power generation and construction, in such areas as:
- Welding curtains in steel production
- Fire blankets for commercial and home kitchens
- Smoke and fire curtains in buildings
- Compensator and door seals in furnaces
- Gaskets in stoves and household appliances
- Flexible expansion joints in power equipment
- Removable, flexible, heat-insulating quilts for pipelines and valves in the petrochemical industry.

We also work with our customers to develop heating systems according to individual specifications.
