Pyro-Stack ™, Pyro-Fold and Z-Blok High Temperature Modular Blocks

Kitmas offers a wide range of high-temperature heat-insulating modular blocks based on refractory blankets / mats / manufactured by Morgan Thermal Ceramics. The main products - Pyro-Stack ™, Pyro-Fold ™ and Z-Blok ™ - provide effective thermal insulation for specialized applications and offer all the benefits of our standard Blanket products in a pre-compressed modular form.

Refractory blocks have several advantages, such as: saving costs on energy carriers, resistance to thermal shock and hot gas flows, low heat capacity, low weight and ease of installation (as a result, reduction of labor costs) and much more.

Refractory modules are used for the modernization of various types of furnaces and industrial equipment, for thermal insulation of reforming plants and other tasks.
Lining blocks can be produced in various sizes, on the basis of different types of ceramic fiber mats (blankets) for use under various temperature conditions and operating conditions, as well as have various types of fasteners. This allows refractory blocks to solve many technical problems in the lining of furnaces and other high-temperature equipment.

Modular blocks are made of three grades of fiber:
- Quilts made of alkaline earth silicate fiber (AES) made from Superwool ® fiber with low biostability
- Refractory Ceramic Fiber (RCF) blankets made from Cerablanket ®, Cerachrome ® and Cerachem ® fibers
- Blankets made of polycrystalline fiber (PCW) manufactured by Denka ®

FIRE-RESISTANT PYRO-STACK MODULES

Pyro-Stack modules consist of strips of rolled material of high quality staple fiber, compressed and connected by plastic tapes, include two stainless steel tubes installed in the rolled material perpendicular to the strips at a distance from the working surface of the module. They can be attached to the furnace frame with any of four types of anchors, Y-, M-, T-shaped and Eye-bolt fasteners. In the Y-shaped module, the tubes are connected to a central bracket, which includes a stainless steel stud and an aluminum expansion tube. This type of module is installed directly on the metal frame (sheet), without preliminary welding, using a special welding gun Pyro Bloc. Allows you to achieve the fastest installation methods compared to existing modules. The M-shaped fastener also includes a central bracket, but is mounted on pre-welded studs using special equipment for installing modules with an M-shaped fastener. T-mount modules are installed using a pre-welded, external, side-mounted bracket. Modules with M- and T-shaped fastening are used in cases when it is necessary to install rolled material on the second layer of the lining or to cover the furnace frame with an anti-corrosion layer, or to use both options. Eye-bolt mounts are used to install the modules on an uneven or perforated furnace frame, as well as with the addition of roll material on the second layer.

PYRO-FOLD FIRE-RESISTANT MODULES

Pyro-Fold Y modules are made on the basis of refractory mats made of high-purity fiber RCF grades HP (alumina-silica) and ZR (alumina-zirconia-silicon dioxide). The Pyro-Fold Y module uses the specially developed 316 SS internal support system and the industry standard Pyro-Bloc Stud system. The Pyro-Fold Y module uses a single-stage welding system that eliminates the need for a pre-installed pin. The Pyro-Fold Y module comes with internal support - the system and pin are already in place.

REFRACTORY Z-BLOK MODULES

Modular block insulation Z-Blok - lightweight lining made in the form of blocks for direct installation on the frames of industrial furnaces. Z-Blok modules are designed to simplify and increase the installation speed of the furnace lining with a wide range of benefits. Fibrous Z-Blok modules consist of three main components:
• heat-insulating component - folded in the form of an accordion, continuous roll material of heat-insulating fiber manufactured by Thermal Ceramics: Cerablanket, Cerachem or Cerachrome;
• stainless steel parts for stiffening and for installation, made in the form of beams located inside the module bends and connected using loops to a groove located on the cold side of the Z-Blok module. The gutter is designed in such a way that it slides freely along the stainless steel bracket, which is fixed to the furnace frame;
• compression linkage of the module to maintain the dimensions of 305x305 mm. After placement on the furnace frame, the compression bundle is removed and the heat-insulating fiber expands. This gives a dense, gapless lining, with the protection of metal parts from high temperatures due to their location on the "cold" side of the module.
