The first decade of this month was calm in the world market. Chinese companies were absent from it until October 8, and in the first days after the resumption of transactions, nothing significant happened.

Many market participants expect the trade talks between the US and China to end on October 10-11. Comments on the results of the first day were quite favorable, although it is not too much to believe that the parties will eventually come to some kind of compromise solution.

Scrap metal prices stabilized, and in Turkey there was even a rise, however, based on just one major deal. The situation on the steel products market in Europe and the Middle East remains difficult, so continued growth is unlikely. Most likely, significant price changes will not occur in the near future, but purchasing activity will be minimal.
