
Ukraine's ferroalloys companies in January-July this year increased their output by 0.9% year-on-year to 498,69 thousand tonnes, including 83,89 thousand tonnes in July.
Interfax-Ukraine was informed by Ukrainian Ferroalloys Producers Association (UkrFA) on Friday that in January-July 2021 silico-manganese output at Zaporizhzhya and Nikopol ferroalloy plants increased by 3.5% to 387,45 thousand tons. At the same time, the total production of ferromanganese was decreased by 26.3%, to 61.58 thousand tons, by three plants: Polar Plant, Nikopol and Kramatorsk Ferroalloy Plant (in January-July 2021 KFP was idle, while in the same period in 2020 it produced 34.09 thousand tons). In addition, Ukraine's production of ferrosilicon (in terms of 45%) increased by 31.3% to 45.85 thousand tons, and metallic manganese by 3 times, to 4.08 thousand tons.
